Sales Director

Who we’re looking for:

We are seeking a true sales ninja with the rolodex and contacts to match! You are a driven, passionate, highly effective sales professional with a proven track record of B2B solution sales success in the learning and development / leadership development / organizational development field. You take initiative, take ownership for results, and practice the art of maintaining control of the customer conversation while being truly collaborative in spirit and approach.

This role will require you to:

Strategy

  • Feedback on organizational sales strategy

  • Develop deal strategy, collaborating with other team members as needed Take part in quarterly

  • People Piece extended team meetings

Develop new business

  • Introduce your professional network to The People Piece and strive to bring on new clients

  • Help to identify upsell opportunities with current and dormant clients

  • Attend industry events to identify new prospects

  • Direct additional lead generation and business development activities

Qualify leads

  • Engage and qualify new leads through email, Zoom intros and in-person meetings

  • Collaborate with sales ops to produce lead research

  • Sync with sales team to determine whether to proceed or hold off on a lead (we work with organizations committed to making the world better and treating their people well, who have budget and leadership commitment to development)

Develop solutions and pricing

  • Partner with clients and our internal team to develop customized solutions

  • Partner with finance and our internal team to customize solution pricing

  • Direct sales ops and design to customize relevant and impactful pitch decks, proposals and collateral

Move leads through our sales process

  • Build rapport, relationships and trust with prospects and current customers

  • Move the sales process from first touch to contract signature, efficiently and with high integrity

  • From start to finish, engage Founder/CEO, Program Director, and other SMEs in sales process

  • Collaborate with sales ops, finance, and other team members as needed

Targets and accountability

  • Set and share weekly, monthly, 6-week sprint, quarterly and annual KPIs and sales targets in collaboration with the sales team

  • Hold yourself accountable to KPIs and sales targets

  • When confronting challenges, develop and act on effective solutions

Pricing, proposals and CRM

  • Provide information and guidance necessary to ensure proposals, pricing and contracts developed by sales ops and finance are accurate

  • Update CRM and sales ops with current deal and pipeline statuses

  • With support from sales ops, update our CRM and virtual notes systems with thorough and relevant sales research & call notes

  • Work with sales ops and finance to ensure contract + scope specs are accurate once in our delivery operations system

Be part of our sales team

  • Collaborate with other members of our sales team

  • Take part in virtual bi-weekly sales team meetings

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience selling to late stage tech startups as well as mid-sized firms within the engineering, tech, health care and/or renewable energy sectors

  • 5+ years in B2B and leadership/team/organizational development sales

  • Strong leadership and self-organizational abilities

  • Tech savvy (from Dropbox to GSuite, Copper, Futurli, Zoom and more)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
